Artificial Velvet
Our electro-static flocking process is second to none.
Why choose artificial velvet over the real thing? Natural velvet is very difficult to preserve based on many factors. Most importantly the time the velvet was left on the antlers until it got into your hands, and how it was handled. Freeze drying and chemical preservatives can work, but only some of the time. Smells may surface after it is back in your customers hands. Don't take that chance. Our method is clean and full proof and your customers will love it.
Our caribou velvet is applied using three distinct colors on specific areas on each caribou. These colors are dyed exclusively for Snowberger Studios to best represent the natural colors found in natural velvet.
Whitetail and other similar colored species such as elk are again done with a custom blend of colors to best replicate their natural velvet.
Details such as rounding of tips, variation in fiber length, dark undertones, and variation in color all help to make our artificial velvet the best on the market.
We offer both a flawless velvet finish or a natural finish which include small rubbed area. Both finishes are the same price as specified below.
